Laboratory work

The practice is equipped with a wide range of in-house laboratory facilities to enable us to give you a fast, reliable and efficient service. We are able to perform certain blood, skin tests and have results within the shortest possible time – sometimes within the hour!

Testing facilities include:

Biochemistry for such things as liver, pancreas, thyroid, and kidney diseases.

Haematology for inflammatory diseases and infections.

Microscopy for skin diseases and other disorders.

For more complicated tests we do send samples away to specialist veterinary laboratories from which we receive results within forty-eight hours or sometimes a little longer. If we know that results are to take longer, we will inform you of the likely time required to receive the result.
