important word for livestock farming. If you don’t think it is important
to you, then consider the following list of diseases:

Lice
Liver fluke

Brucellosis
Leptospirosis

All of these can be brought into a flock or herd by an
apparently normal animal, sometimes a cow or bull, sometimes a sheep,
sometimes any of them. Some of them can also be brought in on a dirty
wellington boot or shoe, or on a wheel. There are therefore a number of
ways that different infections can be brought ont a farm, but the most
important method is undoubtedly by buying in carrier stock.
Contact the practice for advcie on protecting your herd or flock. It is
some of the most important advice you can receive.
