Euthanasia

There is never an easy time to lose a loved pet, and rarely is this decision a simple one to make. Unfortunately, however, all animals do reach the end of their allotted time and the best we can do is to ensure that they suffer as little pain, discomfort and distress as possible as the end of their life draws near. When the final decision has to be made, we are fully aware of the pain and distress in the owner, and we promise to do what we can to try and ease you through this very painful and difficult time.

Whilst we will usually carry out euthanasia at the surgery, if an owner prefers for the procedure to be carried out in the home environment, then we will oblige.

After euthanasia, all pets are sent to the Lincolnshire Pet Crematorium near Boston, and if you wish, then ashes can be returned to you via the surgery approximately ten to fourteen days later. (The return of ashes does entail a higher cost at the crematorium.)
